Vestas Jumps to Two-Month High on Mitsubishi Heavy Talks
Vestas Wind Systems reached a two-month high in Copenhagen trading after revealing that they are in talks with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. (7011) on a possible “strategic cooperation” that could involve offshore wind turbines. The news is good for both parties, especially Vestas who recently went through a round of lay-offs.



During his time at Broadcom, Mike LaChance saw the company transformation from small semiconductor company to worldwide chip powerhouse. Now, LaChance is among a group of former Broadcom employees taking a risk with MaxLinear, a chip company based in Carlsbad with a growing design center in Irvine.


The federal government’s Renewable Energy Partnership Plan, headed by the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of the Interior (DOI), is pushing $7 billion of new project development on/near military installations. It is the sign of the times that clean energy is now considered part of America’s national security plan.
