Chinese companies are continuing to buy (inexpensively)
struggling green tech companies. Just over the weekend, Chinese renewable power
company Hanergy firmed up the purchase of solar startup Miasole for $30
million. Wanxiang could eventually acquire 80% A123 Systems who has one of the
industry’s leading battery technologies.
Could energy determine 2012 Presidential election? Public
Policy Polling (PPP) recently asked 22,412 likely voters in eight swing states
how they felt about “clean air and clean energy policies” and how candidates’
positions on those issues might affect their vote. The poll found that, by a
margin of 54% to 27%, undecided voters in those eight crucial states favored
