Cloud computing is becoming more common and as more data center support “the cloud” there are naturally new ways to make these data centers more energy efficient. Computer scientists at Cornell University have created a new wireless design for cloud data centers that they believe perform better while reducing energy consumption and costs.

Fisker has been in the process of raising $150 million in a new round led by Advanced Equities and has already raised around $100 million. This funding will go directly toward development of the next Fisker electric car next car. To date, Fisker has raised $1.2 billion in funds.
 
New York City has become the first U.S. city to make the energy use of every large private-sector building available to the general public. The information was gathered by a mandatory citywide benchmarking process comprised of 2,065 buildings. The results, and a detailed explanation of the output scores, are available online on the Greener, Greater Buildings Plan website.
