Residential Energy Consumption Per Household Dropping in US
According to the latest results from the Residential Energy Consumption Survey (RECS) the average household has reduced its energy consumption. Some of the downward trend is due to improvements in efficiency for space heating, air conditioning, and major appliances. Newer homes are also built with better insulation and other characteristics that improve the building envelope.

Trilliant Lands Smart Grid Foothold in Asia

Trilliant, the Redwood City-based smart grid networking company announced a partnership with systems integrator Comintel and Tenaga Nasional Berhad, Malaysia’s biggest utility. Trilliant, which has raised about $146 million from investors and strategic investors like Swiss grid giant ABB and Taiwanese chip maker United Microelectronics.
