Nest smart thermostat to be sold in Apple retail stores
iLounge is reporting that the Nest smart thermostat, which was created by two former Apple employees, may soon be available at Apple stores for $249. Currently, Nest is available online, in your local Nest-approved stores, and at Lowes.

LEED Home Run For Marlins’ Ballpark

Marlins Park in Miami had initial plans of achieving LEED Silver certification for New Construction, but has since been challenged by the ball club’s owner to achieve LEED Gold certification. Now completed, Marlins Park is the first retractable roof facility in the world to earn LEED Gold from the USGBC and has now beat Target Field in Minnesota for the most sustainable stadium in the league.

California Lawmakers Approve Cap-And-Trade Revenue Bill

On Tuesday, the CA Assembly voted to approve AB 1532, a bill which provides a framework for how the state will spend revenue generated by its carbon market. AB 1352 will now move to the Senate, where it will likely pass - legislation sponsored by the legislative leadership rarely fails.
