Fisker Taps Former Chrysler Chief As New CEO Of Electric Carmaker It was announced on Tuesday that former Chrysler chief executive Tom LaSorda will be the new CEO at Fisker. Company co-founder Henrik Fisker will now serve as the company’s executive chairman.

Even in a down construction market, green construction has increased by 50%. The growth is not limited to new construction, growth in major green retrofit projects from 2010 is up. California is leading the charge with Title 24 building energy efficiency standards.

Gates on energy: IT revolution has warped our minds
At the ARPA-E Energy Innovation Summit, Gates argued that the amount of government funding for energy research and development should be doubled to speed the pace of innovation. Alongside Department of Energy Secretary Steven Chu, they both agreed that public and private investors should invest in a broad portfolio of technologies to increase the odds of a technological breakthrough.

Borrego Solar announced the completion of a 3.4 megawatt (MW) solar power installation at Edwards Air Force Base. The new system is the largest military project completed by Borrego to date, and was financed via Borrego’s in-house Power Purchase Agreement which allowed the project to be designed and installed at no upfront cost to the base.
