Scientists at a San Francisco startup called Halotechnics are sifting through mixtures of molten salt searching for the right combinations that will allow solar thermal energy to be stored cheaply and efficiently so it can be dispatched to generate electricity after the sun sets – a 24/7 solar power plant.

With the increase in alternative fuel vehicles so comes the increase in smart fuel apps for smart phones. There are more than 100 alternative fuel smart phone apps in the Android market that can locate green refueling or charging locations.
